Real Madrid appealed the two-game ban handed down to Marcelo for kicking Levante’s Jefferson Lerma in their recent fixture, and the relevant committee have upheld that appeal, downgrading his punishment to just one game.
Marcelo will therefore only miss the match this Sunday against Real Sociedad, and will be available again to Zinedine Zidane on Wednesday September 20 for the league game against Betis.
