Perisic will leave Inter Milan for the right price- says Spalletti

Ivan Perisic

Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti admits the club are prepared to sell Ivan Perisic if Manchester United meet their asking price.

Earlier in the week United and Inter were close to agreeing a fee for the Croatia winger, who the Serie A club want £48m for.

Perisic is currently in China with Inter on their pre-season tour and played 45 minutes of Friday’s 1-1 draw against Schalke in Changzhou.

United have endured a somewhat frustrating summer in the transfer market so far, with just Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof arriving, and Jose Mourinho has stated he is keen to add at least one more player to his squad “as soon as possible”.

Luciano Spalletti hopes to keep Ivan Perisic

Spalletti is keen to keep Perisic, who scored 11 goals in Serie A last season, but knows there is a possibility he will leave.

“He is a fantastic player and if his future is totally up to me, I will definitely keep him,” Spalletti told a media conference.

“However, if an offer comes and the club are satisfied with the money, which will be used to invest in and strengthen the team, he could leave.”
