The General Manager, Rangers International FC, Christian Chukwu, says his players will continue to fight for honours until the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season ends.

Chukwu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Saturday that the team planned to win their remaining two matches in the league.

He expressed confidence that Rangers would emerge victorious in their match against Enyimba International FC in Enugu on Sunday.

“The home game against Enyimba of Aba is very crucial and important to Rangers’ aspirations to finish among the top four teams in the NPFL this season,’’ he said.

According to him, the players have been charged to give it all they have to pick the maximum points at home before proceeding to Jos to round it up with Plateau United.

“It is not over yet until it is over, as the league table is very tight and a close call.

“Clubs within the first tenth range of the league table now could still change the game and come tops or second to clinch the trophy or at least secure a continental ticket,’’ he said.

On their last win in Sagamu, he noted that Rangers played tenaciously against Remo Stars.

“We needed to continue in that trend until total victory is achieved,’’ he added.

Rangers are currently 8th on the NPFL league table with 52 points from 36 matches and with a goal difference of minus three. (NAN)
